DRS Accommodations

If a student discloses a disability and requests any accommodation for a course, please refer them to Disability Resources and Services (DRS). DRS will work on any accommodation needed to support their success on the course.

Examples of accommodations and services DRS may provide include:

  • Testing accommodations
  • Note taking assistance
  • Assistive technology
  • Sign language interpreting
  • Alternate format materials

It is the student’s responsibility to:

  • Provide appropriate documentation to DRS
  • Inform the instructor of their approved accommodations
  • Follow the necessary procedures and timelines for requesting accommodations

Recommendation: Instructors are encouraged to include a statement in their syllabus and announce on the first day of class that students requiring any accommodations should contact DRS early in the semester.
