Publishing a Course
- This refers to the process of launching your Canvas course once it has been set up and is ready to be viewed by students.
- Your Canvas course should not be published until it is ready for students. We aim to have all courses published two weeks prior to the start of a new term.
- You can publish your course and still keep assignments, pages, files, and discussions unpublished (aka invisible) to students if you do not wish for them to be accessed yet.
- Items that are published in your course will always be indicated by the green "Published" button. Do not forget to publish all materials that your students need to access in a timely manner.
How to Publish your course:
- Go to your course Home screen
- Select the gray "Publish" button in the top-right corner
- Once the Publish button turns green, your course is officially published
