Password Protection for Zoom Recordings

Password Protection for All Recordings (how to turn on/off)

  1. Go to https://zoom.temple.edu
  2. Select “Settings” on your Zoom navigation (to the left)
  3. Select “Recording”

  4. Scroll down the page and you will see “Require password to access shared cloud recordings”

    • If you would like to password protect all of your recordings, have this option turned on. If you would not like to password protect your recordings, turn this option off.
    • Note: After you change any settings, the changes will save automatically

Password Protection for Individual Recordings

  1. Go to https://zoom.temple.edu
  2. Select “Recordings & Transcripts” on your Zoom navigation (to the left)
  3. You will now see a list of all your recordings, select the arrow button to the right of the recording you would like to view

  4. After you select the arrow button, you will see the sharing settings for that individual session

  5. Selecting “More Settings” will allow you to require and set a passcode for the recording

    • If you would like to password protect this individual session, set this option to on, set a password and select save. Note: checking the Passcode box will show the box to input your selected password.
    • If you would not like to password protect this individual session, make sure this option is set to off.
